Alba". In one minute, you turn right and continue uphill to a

you encounter a sign for "Desfiladero del Alba" (5min) (450 m). Walking
on a well signposted
you pass a fish farm (14min) (470 m). Soon the
Alba river starts to
flow on your left. Lined by chestnut and apple trees the road leads
through grazing grounds
with pretty cottages and
cattle. Ignore the bridge of San Andres de Agues, which leads over
the river, and keep on the
Later the pavement ends and you follow the sign for "Desfiladero del
Alba" straight ahead (48min) (550 m). When the
track forks by a
small recreation area (1h08min) (630 m), the sign for "Ruta del Alba"
guides you to the right, but before you continue, visit a
meadow on your left
to marvel at the mountain
landscape and a
traditional stone cottage.
The track narrows into a wide path which leads to the cleft of
Foces de Llaimo.
Walking between sheer rock walls you can admire gorgeous
water falls and
bonds formed by the
crossing a couple of old stone bridges the
path takes you
to the Cruz de
los Ríos, where you find the stone
Pastores (1h45min) (785 m).
Return on the same way back to Soto de Agues (3h30min).
