How to get there: Drive on the CV-770 about 5km from
Sella towards Alcoy. Turn on a narrow asphalt road, signposted to
"Benifato 16.2 km". The 6.5 km long asphalt road ends at the
Alemany fountain (Font Pouet Alemany). (Roadmap of Marina Baixa)

| Start by walking uphill on a sandy track which
departs from the right hand side of the fountain (995 m). Pass a ruined
house (2min) and a track that forks to the right (15min). The track
turns into a path (16min) (1060 m) that takes you to the top of the Alto
de la Peña de Sella (20min) (1100 m).
You have impressive views over the mountains and the sea encompassing the top of Aitana with antennas in the north, the southern peaks of Aitana and the Puig Campana in the southeast, the reservoir of Amadorio between the mountain ranges of Orxeta and Relleu in the south, the mountain ranges of Aguilar and Cabeco d'Or in the southwest and the mountain range of Real and the plain of Campedran in the west. Down in the valley is the village of Sella. Continue on the path to the right. When you meet the first track (25min) (1070 m), turn left. Some twenty meters further you encounter another track. Keep left also at this junction. At the third junction (35min) (1040 m), turn right towards the valley of Tagarina. The track descends along the slopes of Tagarina to an asphalt road (1h05min) (930 m). Turn right and return back to the fountain (1h15min). |
