How to get there: Drive on the
C-331a to the centre of Antequera and start following the signs for El
Torcal de Antequera, first straight ahead 300 meters, then right 200
meters, left 600 meters and again left 200 meters. When you exit
Antequera, continue on the A-7075 for 10.8 km until a narrow road
signposted to El Torcal branches off right. Drive 3.6 km on this road to
the information centre (Centro de Visitantes Torcal
Alto) where the road

| You find two information panels on the walking
routes by the information centre (1210 m). Take the path by the panels
through one of the world's most spectacular rocky
landscapes. Green
fields and luxuriant vegetation surround the
rock
formations. Big bright
pink peonies stand out from the myriads of flowers.
When the stony path forks (15min) (1225 m) go right following the yellow waymarks. This thoroughly signposted route leads in some places through narrow corridors between the rock walls, and opens views to the distant mountains of the nature park of Montes de Malaga. Keep right when a path joins in from left (1h10min) (1210 m). This joining path is part of the green route, which forms a small circuit inside the yellow route. Return along the yellow route to the information centre (1h25min). |
